Visual Planner

The Visual Planner provides a modern, intuitive overview of all your planned and unplanned trips in one centralized workspace. It supports drag-and-drop scheduling, right-click quick actions, and real-time assignment of vehicles and drivers, making daily operations faster and more efficient.

Step 1: Open the Visual Planner

  1. Navigate to Planning → Visual Planner.
  2. The interface displays two areas:
    • Planned Trips – trips assigned to resources
    • Unplanned Trips – trips needing assignment

💡 Switch between Vehicle View and Driver View for flexible scheduling.

Step 2: Assign a Vehicle

  1. Find the trip under Unplanned.
  2. Drag and drop it onto the vehicle you want in Planned View or use Assign Vehicle from quick actions.
  3. TEQ saves the change instantly.

Step 3: Assign a Driver

  1. Switch to the Drivers tab.
  2. Drag the trip to a driver’s row or use Assign Driver from quick actions.

Step 4: Select and Manage Trips

To select multiple trips:

  1. Hold CTRL (Windows) or Command (Mac).
  2. Click each trip you want to select.
  3. The Select Action menu appears with options such as:
    • ✉️ Notify Driver
    • 🕒 Change Date/Time
    • ✏️ Edit

Step 5: Use Right-Click Quick Actions

Right-clicking a trip opens a powerful quick-action menu with options including:

  • Set new time/date
  • Assign vehicle
  • Assign driver
  • Assign point of contact (POC)
  • Cancel trip
  • Change department
  • Edit trip

And more

💡 This is the fastest way to make adjustments without opening the full trip window.

Step 6: View & Edit Trip Details

Full detail view

Click a trip to open the edit window and update:

  • Times
  • Locations
  • Vehicle and driver
  • Notes and instructions
  • Contact details

Quick view

Hover over a trip to see a summary tooltip, perfect for fast checks.

🛠 Troubleshooting

Trips not appearing

  • Refresh the page.
  • Check date range and filter settings.
  • Verify bus type or driver filters are not hiding results.

Drag-and-drop not working

  • Use Chrome or Edge (recommended browsers).
  • Ensure you're in the correct view (Vehicle/Driver).

Right-click menu not appearing

  • Make sure you’re right-clicking on the trip block.
  • Refresh the planner and try again.

Select Action not showing

  • Use CTRL (or Command) to select at least one trip.
  • Refresh the view.

Driver did not receive notification

  • Confirm the driver is logged into the Ferdia Driver App.
  • Check internet connectivity.
  • Ensure the correct driver is assigned to the trip.
