Assigning a Mobile Device to a Vehicle in TEQ
Assigning a mobile device to a vehicle in TEQ helps ensure accurate trip execution, reliable tracking, and seamless communication between vehicles and the system.
Step 1: Open Mobile Device Settings
Go to Settings โ Mobile Device.
Open the Device Management section to view all available mobile devices and their current assignments.
Step 2: Select the Vehicle
In the device management list:
- Locate the vehicle you want to assign a mobile device to
- Click Assign Device next to the vehicle
This will open a selection window showing available devices.
Step 3: Choose a Device
In the pop-up window:
- Review the list of available mobile devices
- Select the correct device
- Confirm your selection to complete the assignment
Once assigned, the device will be linked to the vehicle and used for trip execution and tracking.
๐ก Tip: Make sure the mobile device is powered on and logged in correctly to ensure it syncs properly with the assigned vehicle.
๐ Troubleshooting
Device not visible in the list
- Verify the device is registered in TEQ
- Ensure the device is not already assigned to another vehicle
Assignment not saving
- Refresh the page and try again
- Confirm you have the correct user permissions
Vehicle not appearing in Device Management
- Check that the vehicle is active
- Verify it belongs to the correct department or garage
