Setting Up TruTac Integration in TEQ

The TruTac integration allows you to synchronize vehicle calendars between TEQ and TruTac, helping you stay compliant and keep scheduling accurate across both systems.

Step 1: Check User Role Permissions

Before configuring the integration, ensure you have the required permissions.

  • Go to Settings β†’ Admin β†’ User Role
  • Select the role that should access the TruTac integration
  • Click Edit
  • Under Features β†’ Settings, enable TruTac integration

πŸ’‘ Tip: If you are not an administrator, ask your system admin to enable this access for you.

Step 2: Configure TruTac Integration in TEQ

  • Go to Settings β†’ Company Settings β†’ TruTac Integration
  • Fill in the required fields:
    • βœ… Is Active β†’ toggle ON
    • πŸ”‘ TruTac API Token β†’ authentication key
    • πŸ•’ Update Interval β†’ how often TEQ fetches updates from TruTac
  • Click Save

Step 3: Generate the TruTac API Token

The API token must be generated in TruTac (TruControl).

  • Log in to TruControl
  • Navigate to Admin β†’ Users
  • Find the user TEQ will use for the integration and click Edit
  • Open API Token Setup
  • Click Generate New Token
  • Copy the token and close the user details

πŸ’‘ Tip: Only authorized users in TruTac can generate API tokens.

Step 4: Activate TruTac Integration in TEQ

  • Return to Settings β†’ Company Settings β†’ TruTac Integration
  • Paste the API Token into the TruTac API Token field
  • Click Save

The integration is now active.

Step 5: Configure Vehicles for Synchronization

TEQ and TruTac synchronize vehicles using the License Plate value.

  • Verify that each vehicle has the exact same license plate in both TEQ and TruTac

⚠️ Important: If license plates do not match exactly, the vehicle calendar will not sync.

Step 6: Synchronize Vehicle Calendars

Once the integration is active and vehicles are correctly configured:

  • All events from the TruTac vehicle calendar will sync automatically to TEQ
  • Synchronization follows the Update Interval you defined in the integration settings

TruTac integration not visible

  • Verify your user role has TruTac enabled under Features
  • Refresh the page after role changes

Vehicles not syncing

  • Confirm license plates match exactly in TEQ and TruTac
  • Ensure the vehicle is active in both systems

No updates appearing

  • Check the Update Interval setting
  • Verify the API Token is valid and has not been regenerated or revoked

Integration shows errors

  • Reconfirm the API Token from TruTac
  • Make sure the integration is marked as Active
